When I ran into this course I came to the thought that this would likely be a very good course to take as it would help me improve my soft skills. I wasn't wrong. It was a great course.
This was a course to improve your emotional intelligence and soft skills. The first part of the course was about how emotions affect the brain. The second part was self awareness, understanding your strengths and weaknesses, identifying your emotions and getting in touch with your body. The third part was self management, deep breathing, cultivating positive emotions and reflecting on mistakes. The fourth part was on social awareness, reflecting on other people's personalities, listening, cultural differences and being sensitive to them, timing and empathy. The fifth part was managing relationships, the importance of relationships, self reflection, self disclosure, acknowledging feelings, responding appropriately and how to deal with conflict.
All in all quite educational and very interesting. It will certainly help me in my career as a coach.
