Welcome, and thank you for your interest in our coaching programmes and support. There is a wealth of information available for you to to read through so that you get comfortable and familiar with the topic. But before you read on, please consider this:

You already made the third step, congratulations!

What? Aren’t I supposed to make one step after another? Yes, of course, but in fact you already have taken the first two, almost subconsciously: You are aware of your situation, aware of something you feel is not quite right. Something is odd, but you can’t quite resolve what exactly. Subsequently, you begun thinking about it, your mind kept returning in ever increasing frequency and intensity to trying and resolving this nagging feeling, and then you realise: You need help. So, and this is in fact your third step, you start searching for who might be able to help you, and how. This is the point where you landed on our website, in search of information and support. See, you are already working towards getting help! Welcome, and be our guest.

Realising, and even more so admitting, that one needs help is not easy. That is one of the biggest hurdles, and you already mastered it! Our congratulations on already achieving this!

Coaching is … building trust and a close relationship. And supportive conversations, mostly.

We here at Connecting Life follow a strict ethos and policy regarding how we engage with our clients, and the way we coach you through certain situations in your life.

It is really important that you and your coach are compatible with each other, because this basic chemistry is paramount to engage in an open and honest manner in your coaching sessions. If things go well, we will start building a close and trusting relationship, which then will over time bear the fruits of your and your coaches work. It is important to reiterate that whilst being close, you and your coach’s relationship does not mean you’re friends. Your coach will challenge your thinking where you friends would never do that. It’s therefore a very different relationship.

So… we talk? Is that it?

Yes and no. It’s a bit more complicated than that. It all really boils down to two questions:

  1. How do coaching sessions work, and
  2. On what issues and topics do you offer coaching?

Introduction and subsequent coaching sessions.

If we haven’t worked together before, or not for a long time, we schedule an introductory session. This session will be dedicated to getting to know each other a bit, to see whether the chemistry between you and your coach works out.
During this session we will talk about your concerns and the goals you want to achieve.

When we get along well – and that is a mutual decision – we will continue with regular coaching sessions. These sessions are, based on your need and circumstances once a week or bi-weekly. Each coaching session will last about 1 hour. Coaching sessions will be conducted via video chat or by telephone.

Face-to-face coaching sessions

Depending on the topic or your geographical location, you may also have face-to-face coaching sessions. Examples include weekly shopping, cooking, breastfeeding and other hands-on topics and techniques that are best done together rather than over the phone or Skype. Or you simply prefer face-to-face sessions, that is fine as well, but at the discretion of your coach. In any case, face-to-face sessions incur an additional fee of £0.45 per driven mile.

“Homework” and off-session contact

This is where it gets a bit more complicated. Where appropriate I will share more information with you after sessions, to deepen the topic we just discussed. Sent by E-Mail, it will frequently comprise further reading, links, and other material that will keep you busy until our next appointment. Particularly, when worksheets are included; these and your progress with them are then discussed in the subsequent coaching session(s).

Between sessions you have email access to me as well.

As a service to the community there are also limited possibilities for low income people.

Focussing on mothers, we know more than well how complicated and complex a mother’s life can get—hence we offer a lot of different issues and aspects to help you see through.

While we will always be there to support you in single and separate aspects of your life, we have assembled them into four major support programmes that are most popular with our clients—they resonate closely with four major phases and struggles in many people’s lives:

  • I want to feel healthy again!
  • I struggle with anxiety and stress, can you help?
  • I want to have a baby…
  • How do I give baby the best possible start into life?
  • Uh-oh, my relationship and family is a mess, please help

But, see for yourself:
